Live Sports Streaming — Where to Watch, Legally
Every major league has an official broadcaster. This site exists to tell you which one it is where you live — and to be honest about what is free, what is cheap and what is neither. We do not host video, we do not embed players, and we do not link to unlicensed rebroadcasts.
Pick a sport from the grid above, or start with the two questions people ask most: what can I watch for free, and which service is worth paying for.
If you came here looking for VIPLeague or VIPBox
Those are the two names most people arrive with, so it is worth being direct about them. Both belong to a category of site that streams sport without a licence from the rights holder. VIPBox has been offline for years, and the sites now trading under that name are clones riding the search traffic. VIPLeague is the same kind of thing.
This page is not those sites and does not link to them. What it does is the part they were never able to give you: the legal broadcaster for whatever you were trying to watch, in your country, including the routes that cost nothing. That is set out in VIPLeague alternatives, and the reasoning is in why we do not link to pirate streams.
The three kinds of "free"
Most sites use the word free to mean whatever suits them. There are really only three honest categories, and they are worth keeping apart.
- Genuinely free. Public broadcasters and their streaming apps — the BBC, ARD and ZDF, RaiPlay, CBC Gem, Doordarshan. You pay for these through a licence fee or through tax, not per match, and the sport they carry is real sport. Big tournaments are often legally required to be shown this way.
- Free with a catch. Ad-supported tiers and official free trials. The catch is usually that the free tier carries less than the paid one, the trial asks for a card, and both are available in fewer countries than the paid service.
- Free if you already pay for something else. Sport bundled into a subscription you may already have — Amazon Prime, for instance, which carries live football in some markets and nothing at all in others.
What none of these are is a stream ripped from a broadcaster's feed and re-hosted. Those exist, they are easy to find, and we do not list them. If you want the reasoning rather than the rule, here it is in full.
Start with your country
Rights are sold market by market, so the same match is on a different channel depending on where you are standing. The country guides are the fastest route to a real answer: UK, US, Canada, Australia, India, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Brazil.
What this site does not do
It does not invent fixtures. You will not find a table of kick-off times here that we made up to look busy — if we do not have a real schedule, we show you who holds the rights instead and say so. It also does not claim to have tested services we have not tested. Our sourcing standard is written down in how we verify, including how we mark the facts that change often enough to be worth re-checking.
