Boxing — Where to Watch
Boxing is not a league and does not have a season, which is exactly why its broadcasting is so awkward. Rights belong to promoters rather than to a governing body, each promoter signs with whichever platform pays most, and the biggest fights are usually sold individually as pay-per-view on top of a subscription. There is no single answer to “where is the boxing?” because there is no single product to sell.
There is, however, a service that has assembled much of the sport into one place, and it is the sensible starting point for most viewers.
| Country | Who shows it | Free option |
|---|---|---|
| UK | DAZN carries a very large slate — Matchroom, Queensberry, Golden Boy, Boxxer, Top Rank and Riyadh Season. Sky Sports Box Office and TNT Sports Box Office sell individual fights as pay-per-view. | BBC World Boxing Cup, and promoter channels on YouTube for highlights and undercards. |
| Ireland | The same DAZN slate as the UK, with Matchroom, Misfits, Queensberry, Golden Boy, Top Rank, PBC, Riyadh Season and Boxxer all represented. | As the UK: promoter YouTube channels, not live premium cards. |
| US | Split across DAZN, Amazon Prime Video, Paramount+ and Netflix. Individual fights are usually pay-per-view. | None confirmed for major cards. |
| Canada | DAZN Canada carries Matchroom, Misfits and the wider combat slate. | None confirmed. |
| Australia | DAZN Australia carries Matchroom, Queensberry, Misfits, Golden Boy, Top Rank, Riyadh Season and PBC. | None confirmed. |
| Germany | DAZN, which carries boxing alongside its Bundesliga and Champions League rights. | None confirmed. |
| Saudi Arabia & UAE | DAZN carries the Riyadh Season cards alongside the Saudi Pro League. | None confirmed. |
| Mexico & Brazil | DAZN, which carries a large boxing slate in both markets. | The DAZN free tier carries selected content in some markets. |
One name worth understanding, because it explains most of the market: Matchroom. DAZN’s deal with Matchroom runs to 2031 and covers around 30 events a year, and it is the arrangement that anchors DAZN’s position as the closest thing boxing has to a home broadcaster.
Can you watch it free?
Rarely, and never the fights you were hoping to see free. Boxing has almost no free-to-air presence in the markets we checked. What exists falls into three categories, none of which is a major fight:
- Public broadcasters covering amateur and international competition. The BBC carries the World Boxing Cup, which is genuine elite boxing, just not professional.
- Promoter channels. Matchroom, Queensberry and the rest post free highlights and full undercard fights on YouTube. Sometimes whole events are streamed free in selected markets as a promotional move.
- Free tiers. DAZN runs a permanent free tier carrying selected content, and it is real rather than a trial. What it includes differs by country, so check before relying on it.
The cheapest legal route
- Regular viewer. DAZN, which carries more fight nights than anyone else — over 180 a year across its promoters. In the UK it is £15.99 a month on a 12-month plan or £25.99 flex.
- PPV included. DAZN’s Ultimate tier, at £24.99 a month or £249.99 a year, includes a number of pay-per-view events — which is the one place a subscription genuinely does cover the bigger cards.
- One fight only. Buy the individual card through the platform that has it. It is usually cheaper than a month’s subscription, and worth checking rather than assuming.
- Free tier first. DAZN’s free tier is permanent, needs no card, and carries selected fights. It is the honest way to test whether the service is worth paying for.
A word on prices: boxing pay-per-view prices vary by card and by country, and we have not quoted specific figures for individual fights because they are set event by event. Anyone offering you a fixed number for “boxing PPV” is generalising from one country in one year.
