Best Sports Streaming Services

There is no single best sports streaming service, and any page that names one is selling you something. Rights are sold country by country, so the best service in the UK is not available in the US, and the best service in the US carries almost nothing in the UK.

How these are ranked. By what you actually get for the money: how much live sport, at what quality, with what blackouts and how easy it is to leave. Not by which service pays this site a commission. Where a commercial link exists it is disclosed — see our affiliate disclosure.

The shortlist

These are the services that carry meaningful live rights in at least one market. The availability column matters more than any other, because a service that does not operate where you live is not an option at any price.

Availability matters. Sky Sports: Separate companies per market: Sky UK, Sky Deutschland, Sky Italia. A subscription in one does not work in another. TNT Sports: UK and Ireland. As of March 2026 it streams through HBO Max rather than discovery+ — a change most guides have not caught up with. DAZN: DAZN runs in two layers and this is the single most misunderstood service on the internet. The GLOBAL tier reaches 200+ countries (excluding China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Crimea) and carries boxing and PPV, NFL Game Pass, FIFA+, NHL.tv and league highlights. The FULL local service — actual domestic football rights — exists in only a handful of markets: Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain, Japan, Canada, Portugal, Belgium, Taiwan, plus the US, France and Australia in narrower forms. So "DAZN has it" is usually wrong, and "DAZN is not available here" is usually wrong too. NOW: In Italy the service is called NOW. In Germany the equivalent is WOW. WOW: Germany only. This is the streaming arm of Sky Deutschland. Paramount+: Available in many countries, but the sport rights differ in each. It carries the Champions League in the US but not everywhere. Peacock: United States only. ESPN Unlimited: United States only. HBO Max: Launched in the UK and Ireland in March 2026 and became the streaming home of TNT Sports there. In the US it carries B/R Sports at no extra cost. YouTube TV: United States only. Kayo Sports: Australia only. Stan Sport: Australia only.

Best by what you actually want

If you wantBest optionWhy
The most sport in one place Sky Sports (UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy) or ESPN Unlimited (US) Both are the closest thing to a complete sports service in their market. Neither works in the other's country, and Sky is normally sold as an add-on with a long contract.
Football, across several leagues DAZN in the markets where it holds domestic rights, Paramount+ in the US DAZN carries all 380 Serie A matches in Italy and the UK, the Premier League in Canada and Spain, and the Champions League in Germany and Canada. Paramount+ has the Champions League in the US.
US sports A live-TV bundle: YouTube TV, Fubo or Sling US rights are spread across the broadcast networks and ESPN, so a channel bundle is usually the only way to get the NFL, NBA and college sport together. Sunday Ticket is a YouTube TV add-on.
Boxing and MMA DAZN The deepest combat-sports portfolio anywhere, and the one thing DAZN carries in almost every market it operates in.
AFL and NRL Kayo (Australia) Every AFL and NRL game plus cricket, F1 and Supercars. Note there is no standalone DAZN service in Australia — DAZN owns Foxtel and Kayo, so this is the DAZN route there.

Everything else on the shortlist is replaceable by a rival in the same market. These three are not, for different reasons: DAZN owns combat sport almost everywhere; Paramount+ holds the English-language Champions League rights in the US; and Kayo is the only route to all of the AFL and NRL.

What to check before you pay

Names that are out of date

A large share of what is written about this market is simply stale, so here are the corrections that come up most often.

What is the best sports streaming service overall?
There is no global answer, because rights are sold country by country. In the UK the widest coverage is Sky Sports with TNT Sports; in the US it is a live-TV bundle such as YouTube TV or Fubo; in Australia it is Kayo. Any page naming one winner worldwide is ignoring how licensing works.
How are these services ranked on this site?
By what a viewer actually gets — the volume of live sport, the blackout rules, the contract terms and the price. Not by which service pays a commission. Where we have a commercial link we disclose it, and it does not change the ranking.
Is DAZN a global sports service?
It operates in over 200 countries, but that is not the same thing. The global tier is boxing, NFL Game Pass, FIFA+ and highlights. Full domestic football rights exist in only a handful of markets. It is the most misunderstood service in streaming.
Which service has the Champions League?
Paramount+ holds the English-language rights in the US, TNT Sports has them in the UK through HBO Max, DAZN carries them in Germany, Canada and Portugal, and Movistar has them exclusively in Spain. In the US and UK they are the only route.
Do I need more than one subscription?
Usually, in the US and the UK, yes — neither market has a single service with everything. In smaller markets one service often holds most of the sport, which makes it comparatively good value.
