Watching Sport in Brazil

Brazil is the best free-sport market in the Americas, and it is the only one that gets there through YouTube. CazéTV, a rights-holding channel rather than a rebroadcast, shows top-flight Brazilian and European football free with advertising. The catch is at the top of this page rather than buried in it: CazéTV is legally confined to Brazil. Everywhere else, it is a useful example of how rights work, not a way around them.

Four things to get straight before you subscribe to anything.
  • CazéTV is geo-locked to Brazil. It holds Brazilian rights, not worldwide rights. It is widely described as a global free option and it is not one.
  • Star+ no longer exists. It was merged into Disney+ across Latin America. The ESPN channels now sit inside Disney+ plans, and Star+ is no longer sold as a standalone service anywhere in the region.
  • Prime members in Brazil got Brasileirão matches at no extra cost from March 2026 — 38 Série A games, one per round. If you already have Prime for the delivery, this is free football in practice.
  • DAZN Brazil is not a Brazilian football service. Its lineup is NFL Game Pass and boxing. The domestic rights it held years ago are not on its page now, and guides that send you there for the Brasileirão are wrong.

What you can watch free

This is where Brazil stands apart. Free-to-air broadcasters here hold real football rights rather than highlights, and the YouTube channels carry live matches rather than clips.

SportWhere it is free
Brasileirão Série A Globo, free-to-air, with one match per round on Wednesdays and Sundays, and the same coverage free on the Globoplay free tier. Record shows one match on Sundays. CazéTV carries matches free on YouTube
Copa do Brasil Globo, free-to-air, and CazéTV on YouTube
LaLiga CazéTV carries the full competition, free on YouTube
Premier League CazéTV shows a weekly match free. The rest of the season is on Disney+ through the ESPN channels
Champions League SBT, free-to-air, on Tuesdays, and 31 matches on the TNT Sports YouTube channel for 2026-27
Libertadores Globo, free-to-air, weekly, plus GE TV on YouTube
State championships and the smaller leagues CazéTV and Record, plus the Goat YouTube channel for the state championships. SportyNet carries Brazilian Série C and Italian Serie A on YouTube
Bundesliga The Jovem Pan YouTube channel
On a Samsung TV Samsung TV Plus carries a free 24-hour CazéTV channel, no account needed
Free here means free with advertising, and it is real. CazéTV was created by the streamer Casimiro Miguel with LiveMode and it holds the rights it streams, which is why it can show a full LaLiga season and weekly Premier League matches without charging. It is one of the best free sports channels anywhere — inside Brazil.
How we define "free". Every option on this site is either a public broadcaster, a free ad-supported tier, an official free trial, or a rights-holder's own channel. We do not list or link to unlicensed rebroadcasts. Note that a VPN does not make a stream legal: reaching a service licensed for another country normally breaches that service's terms, and the bigger platforms actively block it.

The main services, and what they cost

Prices in reais, dated September 2026. Several of these sell tiers, and at Disney+ the tier decides whether you get any sport at all.

Who shows what

The cheapest legal routes

Is CazéTV free worldwide?
No. It is free to watch, but it is geo-locked to Brazil, because it holds Brazilian rights rather than worldwide ones. It is not a workaround for viewers in other countries and we do not treat it as one, even though it is often reported that way.
Is Star+ still available in Brazil?
No. Star+ was merged into Disney+ across Latin America and is no longer sold as a standalone service. The ESPN channels that Star+ carried now sit inside Disney+ plans. Any guide still recommending a Star+ subscription is out of date.
Where can I watch the Brasileirão for free?
CazéTV on YouTube, Globo free-to-air and the Globoplay free tier, and Record on Sundays. Globo shows one match per round on Wednesdays and Sundays and Record shows one on Sundays, so the free coverage is real but it is not the whole round. Prime Video adds 38 matches at no extra cost if you are already a member.
Does DAZN show Brazilian football?
Not in Brazil. The Brazilian DAZN service is built around NFL Game Pass and boxing, and its page shows no Brazilian domestic football. DAZN is a completely different service in each country, which is why it is so often recommended for the wrong thing; our DAZN country page sets out where it actually holds domestic rights.
Which Disney+ plan includes the ESPN channels in Brazil?
The higher-priced ones. Brazilian plans run from about R$29.90 to R$69.90 a month and the sport sits in the upper tiers, but we could not confirm which exact tier carries ESPN, so check the plan comparison before you subscribe. This is one of the few places on this page where we would rather say "unverified" than guess.
Is the Champions League free in Brazil?
Partly. SBT carries matches free-to-air on Tuesdays, and the TNT Sports YouTube channel has 31 Champions League matches for the 2026-27 season. Between the two, a lot of the competition is available without a subscription.
