What Is On Today
We are going to be straight with you about something most sites in this space are not: we do not publish a fixture list here, because we do not have a real schedule to publish.
Plenty of sites will show you a table of today's matches with kick-off times. Some of them are real. A surprising number are generated to look busy, and are wrong. A wrong kick-off time is worse than no kick-off time, so this page does something more useful instead: it tells you how to find out what is on, and who is showing it where you are.
How to find out what is on
- The league's own site or app. The Premier League, the NFL, the NBA, UEFA and the rest all publish their own schedules directly. This is the only source that cannot be out of date, because it is the source.
- Your broadcaster's listings. Once you know which service carries the competition in your country — which is what the rest of this site is for — their own TV guide tells you what they are showing and when. This also catches the thing a fixture list will not: a match being on a channel you do not have.
- Your local time zone. Fixtures are usually published in the competition's home time zone. The clocks in the header of this site show your local time and a second zone you can switch, which is enough to convert most listings without doing arithmetic.
Who shows what, by competition
The more useful question is not "what is on today" but "where would it be if it were on". These pages answer that per competition and per country:
- Premier League — Sky Sports and TNT Sports in the UK, NBC and Peacock in the US, DAZN in Canada
- Champions League — TNT Sports via HBO Max in the UK, Paramount+ in the US
- NFL — Sky Sports in the UK with two games free each Sunday, and a genuinely complicated split in the US
- NBA and basketball — Sky Sports in the UK on an 11-year deal
- Cricket — Sky Sports in the UK, JioHotstar in India, with free-to-air elements in both
- Formula 1 — Sky Sports in the UK, with the British GP free on Channel 4
- Tennis — the Grand Slams, several of which are free-to-air
If you want to know what is free right now
Free sport is not random — it follows the calendar. These are the reliable patterns, so you know when it is worth checking:
| When | What tends to be free |
|---|---|
| Every Sunday, NFL season | Two live games on Channel 5 and 5Action in the UK. In Ireland, Virgin Media carries at least 22 games a season free. |
| Saturday afternoons, football season | Match of the Day on BBC — highlights, not live. There is no free live Premier League football in the UK. |
| Six Nations weekends | The whole tournament is free-to-air in the UK across BBC, ITV and S4C. |
| The Hundred, cricket season | Ten men's and eight women's matches live on BBC. |
| British Grand Prix weekend | The race live on Channel 4, with highlights of every other round. |
| Any time, all year | DAZN's free tier carries selected live football and a PDC Darts channel. No card needed in several countries. |
| Major tournaments | World Cup, Euros and the Olympics are protected free-to-air in most of Europe and Australia. |
Why we do not just publish a schedule
It is a reasonable question, and there is a reasonable answer.
A fixture list is a data product. It has to come from somewhere, it has to be correct, and it has to be updated continuously — kick-off times move, matches get postponed, broadcasters switch channels at short notice. Producing that properly means licensing a feed or maintaining one.
We do not have one. What we could do is generate a plausible-looking table, and it would probably get more search traffic than this page does. But a made-up kick-off time is a made-up fact, and this site's entire proposition is that its facts are real. That trade is not worth making.
If a real schedule feed gets added later, it will appear here and this page will say so. Until then, the league's own site plus your broadcaster's listings is genuinely the better answer, and it is free.
