Saudi Pro League — Where to Watch
The Saudi Pro League — also branded the Roshn Saudi League, which is the name you will see on Indian and Asian listings — went through the biggest rights change of any league on this site in 2025, and a large number of guides have not caught up. The Saudi Sports Company, known as SSC, had carried Saudi football since 2021. In June 2025 it lost those rights, and on 5 October 2025 it closed altogether. Anything that still describes SSC as the free-to-air home of the league is describing a broadcaster that no longer exists.
The rights went to Thmanyah, a subsidiary of the SRMG media group, which now holds the Saudi Pro League together with the King’s Cup, the Saudi Super Cup and the First Division League across the Middle East and North Africa through the 2030-31 season. That is a nine-figure annual contract, and it was confirmed by SRMG’s own issuer announcement on the Tadawul stock exchange. The league’s broadcasters page now lists Thmanyah as its only broadcaster.
Outside MENA there is no single global deal. The league is resold market by market and usually folded into a broader football package, which is why it appears on DAZN in some European countries, on Polsat in Poland, on Sport TV in Portugal and on FanCode in India. Here is who has it where.
| Country | Who shows it | Free option |
|---|---|---|
| Saudi Arabia | Thmanyah, exclusively, along with the King’s Cup, the Saudi Super Cup and the First Division League. It is the only broadcaster the league’s own site lists | Thmanyah 1, 2 and 3 are reported to broadcast unencrypted on Arabsat Badr 8, and a secondary source reports a free tier carrying live matches up to 720p. The two accounts do not fully agree — see below |
| MENA (24 markets) | Thmanyah, exclusively and live, under the same deal to 2030-31. beIN Sports does not hold these rights | None we could verify, beyond the reported satellite channels. beIN’s own channel list carries Thmanyah 1–4 and KSA Sports 1 and 2 in its free-to-air section, so they can appear on a beIN box depending on local licences |
| United Arab Emirates | DAZN, on its global tier, alongside UAE Division 1 and Riyadh Season boxing | None confirmed |
| Germany & Austria | DAZN | DAZN’s German free tier carries selected live Saudi Pro League matches every week, with a free account and no subscription |
| Italy | DAZN lists the Saudi Pro League on its Italian storefront | DAZN’s Italian free tier is built around Serie BKT, selected LaLiga and selected Liga Portugal matches. We could not confirm the Saudi league in it |
| France | DAZN France | None confirmed |
| Czechia | DAZN | None confirmed |
| Portugal | Sport TV, inside a broad football package that also includes the Premier League, Serie A and the Champions League | None |
| Poland | Polsat, as one item in a football portfolio that runs to the Europa League and Conference League through 2030-31 | None |
| Switzerland | blue Sport, among a wide portfolio that includes the Champions League, LaLiga, the Eredivisie and Liga Portugal | None — blue Sport has no free trial, only an introductory price for new annual subscribers |
| Balkans | Arena Sport in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and North Macedonia; Sport Klub in Croatia and Slovenia. Both are crowd-edited rights lists with per-country carve-outs, so confirm before buying | None confirmed |
| India | FanCode, where it is listed as the Roshn Saudi League | None confirmed for the league itself |
| Indonesia | Vidio, on its Platinum Extra tier, and Vision+ on its Premium Sports pack | None confirmed — Vidio’s free tier and trial status is unclear |
| Malaysia & South-East Asia | SPOTV NOW, sold in eight markets: South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong. The Malaysian Ultra annual plan is MYR 115.90. It does not carry the Premier League | None stated on SPOTV’s own pages |
| South Korea | SPOTV, alongside the Champions League, Serie A and Major League Baseball | None confirmed |
| UK, Ireland, US, Canada, Australia | Not confirmed in our research | None confirmed |
Can you watch it free?
Possibly, and it is the most uncertain answer on this page. The two free routes are both in the Gulf, and our sources describe them differently.
- Thmanyah’s free tier — a secondary source reports that Thmanyah lets you watch live matches up to 720p with no subscription, with paid tiers above it at SAR 35 and SAR 70 per month and a seven-day trial on the annual Premium plan only. We could not verify any of that on Thmanyah’s own site, so treat it as a report rather than a promise.
- Free-to-air satellite — a satellite listings site reports that Thmanyah 1, 2 and 3 broadcast unencrypted on Arabsat Badr 8 at 26°E, having moved off Nilesat, and that KSA Sports 1 and 2 carry the league in the clear on Badr 8 and on Nilesat at 7°W. Our frequency listings are third-party and are not an encryption test, so confirm before you buy or re-aim any equipment.
- Germany and Austria — DAZN’s free tier carries selected live Saudi Pro League matches every week. It needs a free account rather than a subscription, and it is the most accessible legal free route we found outside the Gulf.
Two things cut against the free picture. The first is that Thmanyah’s own help centre says live Saudi matches and competitions are restricted outside Saudi Arabia — its non-sports content can be subscribed to worldwide, the football cannot. The second is that one business-press account of the deal describes Thmanyah as a subscription streaming play rather than a free one, which is the opposite of what the satellite listings suggest. We are reporting the disagreement rather than picking the version that sounds better.
The cheapest legal route
- Germany or Austria — register for DAZN’s free tier before paying anything. It includes selected live Saudi Pro League matches each week, and it costs nothing at all.
- Saudi Arabia — check whether Thmanyah’s free tier is real on the day you sign up. If it is, it is the cheapest route in the home market; if it is not, the Basic tier is the next step down from Premium.
- India — FanCode’s unlimited livestream pass, reported at about Rs 199 per month, covers the league along with LaLiga, the EFL Championship and the AFC competitions. That price comes from a secondary source, so verify it.
- Malaysia — SPOTV NOW’s Ultra annual plan at MYR 115.90 works out far below a monthly subscription, and it carries the Saudi league, MotoGP and the A-League.
- Portugal or Poland — the league comes bundled with a large football package, so price it against what else you would watch rather than as a single-competition purchase.
